This was my first session back after not being able to work for over 9 weeks due to covid-19. I was actually a little nervous and even felt rusty if you can imagine! It’s weird, because this is what I do, it is my job to take pictures of people. But things were different this time. I was supposed to maintain a 6 ft. distance. I asked the family if they would feel more comfortable if I was wearing a mask. I let them see me use hand sanitizer and told them I would not be putting my hands on them during the session for posing or anything else. If I saw the dad’s keys on the ground I had him pick them up, not me. This was so out of the ordinary, yet as soon as I had my camera in hand I was at home again. I maintained my distance and was respectful towards them. We had a beautiful, overcast evening and despite everything going on in this world, nothing felt different. Family is everything and this too shall pass <3
